Delete my account

Learn how to request account deletion and what to consider first.

Last updated: October 14, 2026
01Request deletion in Findovo

Open Profile and select “Permanently delete my account”. Read the consequences, type the confirmation word shown in the app (currently ELIMINAR) and reauthenticate with Google when prompted. You need an internet connection. An accepted request begins processing, but does not confirm completion. Household owners must first transfer ownership or delete the Household; ask support if this is not possible.

02Request deletion without the app

Email [email protected] with subject “Findovo account deletion request” and your account email; write from that address if possible. You may contact support even if the app is uninstalled. Support must verify ownership before accepting the request. Do not send passwords or verification codes. An email link merely opens a draft; you must send it. Sending an email alone does not establish successful identity verification or acceptance.

03Data handled by deletion

The backend disables and deletes the Firebase Authentication account, removes memberships and private Firestore data, including notification device information, private update history and the Premium entitlement mirror. On the device used to accept deletion, the app attempts to remove account-specific preferences, caches, reminders, local history and photos in its identified folder; interrupted cleanup may be retried on launch. An email request cannot remotely wipe files stored on your devices.

04Data that may remain

Shared Household content is kept for other members; identifier-linked authorship and relevant activity messages are cleared or neutralized, while historic names in free text may need manual review. Administrative recipient references are cleaned. A technical deletion job record supports retries and prevents improper recreation, but its expiry has not been defined. Some RevenueCat and store records are maintained independently. Exported/shared copies, operating-system backups, other-device caches, original gallery images and older unidentifiable files cannot be guaranteed removed. Retention must have a specific lawful justification, be proportionate and time-limited; technical failures and pending review do not automatically exempt data subject to deletion. Third-party processing obligations still apply.

05Timing and follow-up

After ownership has been confirmed and a request accepted, background deletion starts. Technical errors may require retries; acceptance is not proof that deletion is complete. Failures are scheduled no sooner than five minutes later and completed tasks may be rechecked after at least 24 hours; these are not maximum completion times. Applicable legal deadlines must be met. Request an update from [email protected]; a server “completed” state does not necessarily include pending manual or external-provider reviews.

06Subscriptions and exported copies

Deleting your account does not cancel Google Play or other store subscriptions; cancel through the store to stop renewals. You can request deletion even if a subscription needs separate attention. Export any data you wish to retain first; Findovo’s export is partial and excludes photos and Household content.
